Gobardhan Yojana, full name of which is “Galvanizing Organic Bio-Agro Resources Dhan” is a scheme of the Government of India aimed at managing solid waste in villages, especially livestock and agricultural waste, to produce biogas, compost and Bio-CNG.

  • Process:
    • Biogas, compost and bio-CNG are produced from livestock and agricultural waste. 
    • Biogas can be used for cooking and other purposes. 
    • Bio-CNG can be used as fuel. 
    • Compost can be used as manure for crops.

    • Helps in making villages clean. 
    • Helps to generate energy and wealth.
