Eligibility for the scheme- Eligibility and conditions (for general cases) 1. Girl child born on or after 1 January 2006. 2. Parents should be natives of Madhya Pradesh. 3. Parents who have two or less than two children, family planning is adopted upon the birth of the second child. 4. Parents should not be income tax payers. 5. The girl child born on or after 01 April 2008 without family planning will be given the benefit of first delivery. After the second delivery, the condition of family planning will remain the same.

Amendments to make the scheme effective 1. In a family where there are maximum two children and the mother or father has died, the child can be registered up to 5 years after birth. However, in this type of case, if the woman/man gets married for the second time, and has two children from the previous marriage, then the daughter from the second marriage will not get the benefit of the scheme. 2. The benefits of the scheme will also be provided to orphan girls or adopted girls. 3. Even if there are three girls at the time of first delivery, all three girls will get the benefit of Ladli Lakshmi Yojana. 4. Eligible girl children born to female inmates in jail will be benefited under the scheme. 5. In cases where families have not adopted family planning due to health reasons, the case will be approved for two years instead of one year. 6. The benefit of the scheme will be given to girl child who is a victim of rape or child born to a woman.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PLAN | The Ladli Lakshmi Yojana has been implemented in Madhya Pradesh with the aim of improving the public’s positive attitude towards girl child birth, improving the gender ratio, improving the educational level of girls, improving their health status and laying the foundation for their good future. |

Amount of Grant/Loan/Financial Assistance/Pension/Benefit | 1,43,000/- certificate will be given after online registration of girls A scholarship of 2000/- will be given to girls for admission in class 6, 4000/- for admission in class 9, 6000/- for admission in class 11 and 6000/- for admission in class 12. After class 12th, the girl child will be given an incentive amount of Rs. An amount of Rs.100,000/- will be paid on completion of 21 years of age, provided that the beneficiary girl child has appeared in class 12th examination and if she is married, her marriage has taken place after completing the minimum prescribed age specified in the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006. |
