1. Women’s Prosperity Scheme (MSY):
- This scheme provides loans to Safai Karamcharis and Swachhakar women and their dependent daughters for small and marginal trade/business and miscellaneous income generating activities.
- Under this scheme, up to 90 per cent of loan is provided to SCAs and the remaining 10 per cent is provided by SCAs.
- This scheme is available for projects costing up to Rs 1,00,000/-.
2. Women Training and Employment Programme Assistance Scheme:
- This scheme was launched in 1986-87 for the development of poor rural and urban women.
- The scheme aims to provide assistance to laborers, unpaid daily wage workers, women-led families, migrant workers, tribals and other disadvantaged groups.
- This scheme is funded by the Central Government and the implementing agency.
3. Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP):
- PMEGP is a flagship credit-linked subsidy programme aimed at generating self-employment opportunities through setting up of micro enterprises in the non-farm sector.
- The scheme is implemented by Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) as the nodal agency at the national level.
- Banks sanction financing up to 90% to 95% (special category) of the project cost.
- The government provides 15% to 35% as margin money or PMEGP subsidy.
- The remaining 60% to 75% amount is provided by the bank as term loan.
